This artwork by Shusaku Arakawa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Ketterer in Munich in June 2017. In the Kunst nach 1945 II auction, the work Ohne Titel sold for EUR 8,125.00 - well above the estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shusaku Arakawa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vertical Thought in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 137,500.00 (€ 156,776.91).
Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shusaku Arakawa erzielte im Juni 2017 bei Ketterer in München einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Kunst nach 1945 II wurde die Arbeit Ohne Titel für EUR 8.125,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shusaku Arakawa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vertical Thought im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 137.500,00 (€ 156.776,91).
