Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 33,020.00 (€ 29,849.94). Admittedly, works by Shusaku Arakawa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vertical Thought in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 137,500.00 (€ 156,776.91).

Die Arbeit Or Space von Shusaku Arakawa kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 7 - zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 33.020,00 (€ 29.849,94) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shusaku Arakawa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vertical Thought im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 137.500,00 (€ 156.776,91).
