Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Do Chu Sei - Quietness In Motion by Morita Shiryū. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 812,500.00 (€ 92,867.55). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Morita Shiryū - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work So - Wilderness, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 2,740,000.00 (€ 301,569.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Do Chu Sei - Quietness In Motion von Morita Shiryū zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 812.500,00 (€ 92.867,55) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Morita Shiryū mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit So - Wilderness beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 2.740.000,00 (€ 301.569,37) versteigert wurde.
