Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ryū Wa Ryū O Shiru — Dragon Knows Dragon by Morita Shiryū was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in November 2018. The price achieved of HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 225,735.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00. Other works by Morita Shiryū have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2017 the work So - Wilderness was auctioned for HKD 2,740,000.00 (€ 301,569.37).
