Auction result misses estimated price range
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Women of Allah Series) by Shirin Neshat for USD 30,240.00 (€ 27,814.57). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War to Present at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Shirin Neshat have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Passage in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 214,684.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Women of Allah Series) von Shirin Neshat für USD 30.240,00 (€ 27.814,57) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shirin Neshat auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Passage im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 269.000,00 (€ 214.684,76).
