Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November this year Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work I am its secret from Women of Allah by Shirin Neshat. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,620.00 (€ 8,829.92). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shirin Neshat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Passage in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 214,684.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit I am its secret from Women of Allah von Shirin Neshat zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 7.620,00 (€ 8.829,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shirin Neshat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Passage im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 269.000,00 (€ 214.684,76).
