Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2018 Phillips in an online auction held the auction Phillips x Artsy: Summer School 2018, which included the work Two works: (i) Fortitude; (ii) Red Fairy by Shinique Smith. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,271.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shinique Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rose Colored Times in September last year with an auction result of USD 81,900.00 (€ 83,716.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2018 führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Phillips x Artsy: Summer School 2018 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two works: (i) Fortitude; (ii) Red Fairy von Shinique Smith zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.271,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shinique Smith erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rose Colored Times im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 83.716,65).
