Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Shozo Shimamoto. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 65,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,825.75). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shozo Shimamoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Explosion 64-1 in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 20,500,000.00 (€ 2,419,733.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Shozo Shimamoto zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 65.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.825,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shozo Shimamoto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Explosion 64-1 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 20.500.000,00 (€ 2.419.733,82).
