Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Shozo Shimamoto achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. In the Contemporary Art – Day Sale auction, the work Lucky Star sold for HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 220,123.63) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shozo Shimamoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Explosion 64-1 in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 20,500,000.00 (€ 2,419,733.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shozo Shimamoto erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art – Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Lucky Star für HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 220.123,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shozo Shimamoto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Explosion 64-1 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 20.500.000,00 (€ 2.419.733,82).
