In July last year Phillips in an online auction held the auction Heatwave: Online Auction, which included the work Execution-03 by Sheng Qi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,071.00 (€ 1,278.96), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sheng Qi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Left Hand in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 19,200.00 (€ 28,686.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Heatwave: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Execution-03 von Sheng Qi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.071,00 (€ 1.278,96) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sheng Qi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Left Hand im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 19.200,00 (€ 28.686,51).
