The work Birds, Plum and Peach Blossoms by Shen Quan was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. It achieved a price of HKD 201,600.00 (€ 23,934.25), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Quan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Auspicious Deer in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,658,000.00 (€ 376,601.76).

Die Arbeit Birds, Plum and Peach Blossoms von Shen Quan wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 201.600,00 (€ 23.934,25) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Quan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Auspicious Deer im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.658.000,00 (€ 376.601,76).
