Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Phoenix by Shen Quan was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. It changed hands for a price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,820.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Quan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Auspicious Deer in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,658,000.00 (€ 376,601.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Phoenix von Shen Quan wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.820,20) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Quan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Auspicious Deer im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.658.000,00 (€ 376.601,76).
