The work Cats Palying Under The Tree by Shen Quan was auctioned at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in April this year. It achieved a price of HKD 324,000.00 (€ 330,867.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 62%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Shen Quan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Auspicious Deer sold at auction in October 2014 with the realized price of HKD 3,658,000.00 (€ 376,601.76).

Die Arbeit Cats Palying Under The Tree von Shen Quan kam im April diesen Jahres bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 324.000,00 (€ 330.867,39) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 62%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Shen Quan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Auspicious Deer im Oktober 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 3.658.000,00 (€ 376.601,76).
