Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Paradise Flycatchers and Camellias by Shen Quan. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 220,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 25,017.72). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Quan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Auspicious Deer in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,658,000.00 (€ 376,601.76).
