Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy after Mi Fei by Shen Quan. The price achieved of HKD 94,500.00 (€ 11,425.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Quan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Auspicious Deer in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,658,000.00 (€ 376,601.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy after Mi Fei von Shen Quan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 94.500,00 (€ 11.425,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Quan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Auspicious Deer im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.658.000,00 (€ 376.601,76).
