Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Zhang Lei'S Poem In Cursive Script by Shen Congwen was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,609.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shen Congwen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April this year with an auction result of HKD 66,000.00 (€ 67,398.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Zhang Lei'S Poem In Cursive Script von Shen Congwen wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.609,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Congwen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 66.000,00 (€ 67.398,91).
