Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy In Zhangcao by Shen Congwen was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,429.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shen Congwen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April this year with an auction result of HKD 66,000.00 (€ 67,398.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Zhangcao von Shen Congwen wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.429,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Congwen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 66.000,00 (€ 67.398,91).
