Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Zhangchao by Shen Congwen was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The price achieved of HKD 75,600.00 (€ 9,140.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shen Congwen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April this year with an auction result of HKD 66,000.00 (€ 67,398.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Zhangchao von Shen Congwen wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 75.600,00 (€ 9.140,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Congwen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 66.000,00 (€ 67.398,91).
