A top price for Shen Congwen - as previously expected
The work Calligraphy by Shen Congwen was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in April this year. The price achieved of HKD 66,000.00 (€ 67,398.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Calligraphy is the most expensive artwork by Shen Congwen that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Shen Congwen wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 66.000,00 (€ 67.398,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Calligraphy das teuerste Kunstwerk von Shen Congwen, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
