Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work From Life, Chrysler Building, New York, 2000 by Sheila Metzner for USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,717.03). This price was achieved in the auction MANHATTA at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Sheila Metzner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Iceberg, 1997 in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,086.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit From Life, Chrysler Building, New York, 2000 von Sheila Metzner für USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.717,03) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion MANHATTA bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sheila Metzner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Iceberg, 1997 im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.086,31).
