It achieved a price of USD 3,187.50 (€ 3,044.70), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 59%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sheila Metzner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Iceberg, 1997, which sold at auction in May 2005 for GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,086.31).

Die Arbeit Rick Dynamo Series von Sheila Metzner kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 3.044,70) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 59%. Für andere Arbeiten von Sheila Metzner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Iceberg, 1997 beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.086,31) versteigert wurde.
