Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Wrong Way by Shay Kun was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March 2010. It achieved a price of USD 9,375.00 (€ 6,931.10), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shay Kun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Naked In Death, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 28,125.00 (€ 26,184.71).

Die Arbeit Wrong Way von Shay Kun kam im März 2010 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 6.931,10) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Shay Kun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Naked In Death beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 28.125,00 (€ 26.184,71) versteigert wurde.
