Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Club Sandwich by Sharon Core was sold in the Under the Influence auction at Phillips in New York in March 2012. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,687.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sharon Core achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bakery Counter, 1962 in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 76,479.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Club Sandwich von Sharon Core wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion Under the Influence bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.687,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sharon Core erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bakery Counter, 1962 im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 76.479,33).
