Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Seven-character Poem in Running Script by Shang Yanliu. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 15,120.00 (€ 1,740.58). Admittedly, works by Shang Yanliu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Running Script in April this year with an auction result of HKD 12,000.00 (€ 12,254.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seven-character Poem in Running Script von Shang Yanliu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 15.120,00 (€ 1.740,58) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shang Yanliu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.000,00 (€ 12.254,35).
