Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu by Shang Yanliu. It changed hands for a price of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,504.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shang Yanliu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Running Script, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 12,000.00 (€ 12,254.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu von Shang Yanliu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.504,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Shang Yanliu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 12.000,00 (€ 12.254,35) versteigert wurde.
