A top price for Shang Yanliu - as previously expected
In April this year China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy In Running Script by Shang Yanliu. The auction ended at the price of HKD 12,000.00 (€ 12,254.35), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Calligraphy In Running Script is the most expensive artwork by Shang Yanliu that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April diesen Jahres führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Shang Yanliu zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 12.000,00 (€ 12.254,35) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Calligraphy In Running Script das teuerste Kunstwerk von Shang Yanliu, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
