The »bidding war« ended at USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,063.06), 67% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shahzia Sikander - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Veil 'N Trail, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 325,000.00 (€ 208,761.56).
