Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Untitled (Two women and a girl with Peugeot automobile) by Seydou Keïta. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,080.00 (€ 5,910.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Seydou Keïta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans titre (L'Odalisque) - 1956-1957 in December 2018 with an auction result of EUR 63,700.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Two women and a girl with Peugeot automobile) von Seydou Keïta zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.080,00 (€ 5.910,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Seydou Keïta erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans titre (L'Odalisque) - 1956-1957 im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 63.700,00.
