In May this year Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Untitled (Father and daughter, Bamako) by Seydou Keïta. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 33,020.00 (€ 38,418.99), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Seydou Keïta; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sans titre (L'Odalisque) - 1956-1957 sold at auction in December 2018 with the realized price of EUR 63,700.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Father and daughter, Bamako) von Seydou Keïta zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 33.020,00 (€ 38.418,99) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Seydou Keïta; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sans titre (L'Odalisque) - 1956-1957 im Dezember 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 63.700,00.
