Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sin título by Sergio Hernández was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 21,420.00 (€ 18,502.20). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sergio Hernández - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Apocalipsis, which sold at auction in May 2010 for USD 62,500.00 (€ 50,529.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sin título von Sergio Hernández wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 21.420,00 (€ 18.502,20) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Sergio Hernández mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Apocalipsis beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für USD 62.500,00 (€ 50.529,55) versteigert wurde.
