The auction ended at the price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,607.16), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sergio Hernández have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Apocalipsis in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 50,529.55).

Die Arbeit Calles del centro histórico von Sergio Hernández wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Latin American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.607,16) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sergio Hernández auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Apocalipsis im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 50.529,55).
