Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Seated Nude By A Mirror by Sergei Ivanovich Lobanov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 29,257.59). Admittedly, works by Sergei Ivanovich Lobanov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunflowers in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 90,000.00 (€ 133,555.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Seated Nude By A Mirror von Sergei Ivanovich Lobanov im November 2012 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 29.257,59) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sergei Ivanovich Lobanov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunflowers im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.000,00 (€ 133.555,47).
