Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings Including European Works of Art, which included the work Peasants Outside An Inn by Sébastien Bourdon. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,845.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sébastien Bourdon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Deposition From The Cross in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 281,000.00 (€ 208,148.15).

Im Januar 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings Including European Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peasants Outside An Inn von Sébastien Bourdon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.845,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sébastien Bourdon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Deposition From The Cross im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 281.000,00 (€ 208.148,15).
