Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work The Holy Family With Saint Elizabeth And The Infant Saint John The Baptist by Sébastien Bourdon for USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,586.03). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters Part II at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sébastien Bourdon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Deposition From The Cross in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 281,000.00 (€ 208,148.15).
