In December 2020 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, which included the work THE ADORATION OF THE GOLDEN CALF by Sébastien Bourdon. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 37,800.00 26% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sébastien Bourdon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Deposition From The Cross in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 281,000.00 (€ 208,148.15).

Im Dezember 2020 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit THE ADORATION OF THE GOLDEN CALF von Sébastien Bourdon zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 37.800,00 und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sébastien Bourdon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Deposition From The Cross im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 281.000,00 (€ 208.148,15).
