Auction result well in line with expectations
The work King Solomon Sacrificing to the Idols by Sébastien Bourdon was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2017. The price achieved of USD 75,000.00 (€ 68,838.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sébastien Bourdon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Deposition From The Cross, which sold at auction in January 2014 for USD 281,000.00 (€ 208,148.15).
