Sold at the upper estimate price
In October 2020 Christies in London held the auction Discovering Old Masters: The Legacy of Piero Corsini, which included the work The Temptation Of Saint Anthony by Sebastiano Ricci. The auction ended at the price of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 38,864.51), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sebastiano Ricci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Time revealing Truth in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,448,000.00 (€ 1,792,093.70).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Discovering Old Masters: The Legacy of Piero Corsini durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Temptation Of Saint Anthony von Sebastiano Ricci zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 38.864,51) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sebastiano Ricci erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Time revealing Truth im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.448.000,00 (€ 1.792.093,70).
