This artwork by Sebastiano Ricci achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in April 2016. In the Old Master and British Paintings auction, the work The Temptation Of Christ In The Wilderness sold for GBP 68,500.00 (€ 87,563.37) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sebastiano Ricci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Time revealing Truth in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,448,000.00 (€ 1,792,093.70).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Sebastiano Ricci erzielte im April 2016 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and British Paintings wurde die Arbeit The Temptation Of Christ In The Wilderness für GBP 68.500,00 (€ 87.563,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sebastiano Ricci erzielen.
