Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work A Bacchanal In Honor Of Pan; The Feast Of Silenus by Sebastiano Ricci. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 634,000.00 (€ 585,302.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sebastiano Ricci - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Time revealing Truth, which sold at auction in April 2007 for USD 2,448,000.00 (€ 1,792,093.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Bacchanal In Honor Of Pan; The Feast Of Silenus von Sebastiano Ricci zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 634.000,00 (€ 585.302,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Sebastiano Ricci mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Time revealing Truth beobachtet, die im April 2007 für USD 2.448.000,00 (€ 1.792.093,70) versteigert wurde.
