In May 2003 Christies in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work Young girl before a fireplace by Seán Keating. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 33,460.00 (€ 46,618.20), 34% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Seán Keating have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Feast of Bridget in May 2003 with an auction result of GBP 139,650.00 (€ 194,567.61).

Im Mai 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Young girl before a fireplace von Seán Keating zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 33.460,00 (€ 46.618,20) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Seán Keating auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Feast of Bridget im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 139.650,00 (€ 194.567,61).
