Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work The Goose Girl by Seán Keating. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 17,484.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Seán Keating achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Feast of Bridget in May 2003 with an auction result of GBP 139,650.00 (€ 194,567.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Goose Girl von Seán Keating zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 17.484,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Seán Keating erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Feast of Bridget im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 139.650,00 (€ 194.567,61).
