Upper estimate price exceeded by 40 %.
The work Between Red-111 by Sea Hyun Lee was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in March last year. It achieved a price of HKD 126,000.00 (€ 14,504.82), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sea Hyun Lee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Between Red 18, which sold at auction in February 2011 for GBP 34,850.00 (€ 41,050.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Between Red-111 von Sea Hyun Lee kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 126.000,00 (€ 14.504,82) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Für andere Arbeiten von Sea Hyun Lee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Between Red 18 beobachtet, die im Februar 2011 für GBP 34.850,00 (€ 41.050,38) versteigert wurde.
