Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Tree with Birds; and Tree by Scottie Wilson. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,434.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Scottie Wilson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Overlapping Heads in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,960.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tree with Birds; and Tree von Scottie Wilson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.434,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Scottie Wilson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Overlapping Heads im Juli 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.960,82).
