Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Lovebirds; together with two unframed works by the same hand by Scottie Wilson was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art auction at Christies in London in March 2017. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,222.73). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Scottie Wilson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Overlapping Heads, which sold at auction in July 2012 for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,960.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Lovebirds; together with two unframed works by the same hand von Scottie Wilson wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.222,73) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Scottie Wilson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Overlapping Heads beobachtet, die im Juli 2012 für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.960,82) versteigert wurde.
