Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Liberation through Expression: Outsider and Vernacular Art, which included the work Untitled, Circa 1945 by Scottie Wilson. The price achieved of USD 2,250.00 (€ 2,077.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Scottie Wilson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Overlapping Heads, which sold at auction in July 2012 for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,960.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Liberation through Expression: Outsider and Vernacular Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, Circa 1945 von Scottie Wilson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.250,00 (€ 2.077,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Scottie Wilson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Overlapping Heads beobachtet, die im Juli 2012 für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.960,82) versteigert wurde.
