Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Scott Kahn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October this year. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Winter Morning sold for GBP 302,400.00 (€ 347,239.21) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Scott Kahn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work BIG HOUSE, HOMAGE TO AMERICA, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 11,250,000.00 (€ 1,335,616.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Scott Kahn erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Winter Morning für GBP 302.400,00 (€ 347.239,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Scott Kahn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit BIG HOUSE, HOMAGE TO AMERICA beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 11.250.000,00 (€ 1.335.616,44) versteigert wurde.
