Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
This work without title by Sayre Gomez was worth USD 32,760.00 (€ 29,532.14) to a buyer in March last year. This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sayre Gomez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Valley Boy, which sold at auction in September this year for USD 88,900.00 (€ 83,994.71).

Die Arbeit ohne Titel von Sayre Gomez war einem Käufer im März letzten Jahres USD 32.760,00 (€ 29.532,14) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Sayre Gomez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Valley Boy beobachtet, die im September diesen Jahres für USD 88.900,00 (€ 83.994,71) versteigert wurde.
