It achieved a price of INR 2,500,000.00 (€ 31,572.90), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Satish Gujral - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Despair, which sold at auction in September 2016 for USD 125,000.00 (€ 111,229.76).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von INR 2.500.000,00 (€ 31.572,90) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Für andere Arbeiten von Satish Gujral mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Despair beobachtet, die im September 2016 für USD 125.000,00 (€ 111.229,76) versteigert wurde.
