Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled depth:12 cm by Satish Gujral. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 15,300.00 (€ 17,998.99). Admittedly, works by Satish Gujral have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Despair in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 111,229.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled depth:12 cm von Satish Gujral zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 15.300,00 (€ 17.998,99) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Satish Gujral auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Despair im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 111.229,76).
