It achieved a price of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 23,998.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 36%. Admittedly, works by Satish Gujral have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Despair in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 111,229.76).

Die Arbeit Untitled depth:15.5 cm von Satish Gujral wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 20.400,00 (€ 23.998,66) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 36%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Satish Gujral auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Despair im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 111.229,76).
